Today, I studied many frequent diseases and causes which people are facing due to malnutrition. Firstly, I have a question for the readers: Do you know the meaning of “Nutrition”? What is Nutrition?

If not then I will answer you and if yes, then I will make it more clear. The simple dictionary meaning of the “nutrition – The food that we eat, and how it affects our health”. The body is the system of mechanism where it needs all types of minerals and supplements.

The digestive system extracts nutrients such as good calories, good fat, minerals and vitamins. Now every study and every dietician has suggested different methods to remain fit and healthy.

Yesterday at a social gathering, I met many personalities of different age groups. We randomly picked this topic of nutrition. Mothers are talking about their children who are demanding only fast foods and chocolates and no one is interested in eating healthy food.

Well, if you wear the shoes of a kid under 10 years, ask yourself what would you like to have then. The answer must be chocolates and stuff. This is because sometimes parents are fascinating to their kids by doing some activity in return for chocolates. But instead, they manage to accomplish the need with some nutrition stuff like fruit salad,  vegetable soup etc…

What do health guidelines say about nutrition?

The guidelines state that toddlers should take 1000-1400 calories, depending on the gender and height and weight of the child. But normally it should range between 1000-1400.

Basic requirements: The requirement of milk is 16-24 ounces. (ie: 2 to 3 cups).

More iron-rich foods: pulses and cereals. And design the perfect plate as below :

Nowadays many baby foods and supplements are there that mum tries to give their child but as per the guidelines, portion control is the key. Fix the proportion of every type of food such as cereals, fruits, pulses, dry fruits etc…

I have a question for the adults too, have you taken care of your nutrition?

A long list comes to the doctor’s mind: Heart disease, High blood pressure, Liver stroke, Diabetes, Infertility in women and many other problems.
